March has been another busy month for us as we continue to improve the miiCard service. A lot of our development efforts have been focused "behind the scenes", so instead of any major new features, we've concentrated on the little things.

Paul Makin of Consult Hyperion came to visit miiCard last month and interview CEO James Varga for the Tomorrow's Transactions podcast series.

Trust online is really important to us at miiCard. We are building trust online through identity, proving you are you to the same level as your passport or driving licence, so you can connect safely with others on social networks and dating sites, trade on auction sites with confidence, and buy new products and services, that typically require an offline ID check, entirely online when it's convenient for you.

 The social validations feature recently added to miiCard is proving popular amongst Twitter users with large followings who are looking to prove their accounts belong to them.

Last month we were at the leading financial services innovation conference, FinovateEurope 2012, to demo miiCard.

Here is demo video showing how miiCard will be used will enable customers to prove their identities purely online, to the same level as a passport or driver's licence, to complete applications for new bank products on the web in real-time.

Some new information has been added to www.miicard.com today which we hope will make it easy for visitors to the site to get a sense of how miiCard's online identity verification works and is used to build trust online.

We were at FinovateEurope in London recently asking delegates to share their thoughts on the top FinTech trends and the importance of Digital Identity in 2012.

How did we do it? By giving them a miiCard cookie for their thoughts. Our chocolate, vanilla and gingerbread cookies decorated with the miiCard 'Identity Assured' image card proved really popular as this short video demonstrates:
