The ID Co. provides identity verification services that put you in control of your digital identity and personal information. We take your privacy very seriously.
Information which we may collect
To register to use our service you will have to supply us with personal information. "Personal Information" means information that identifies you. The personal information we collect to register you is your name, date of birth, address and e-mail address. You may also need to choose a username and secure password and provide your mobile/ cell number. If you send an email to a friend about our site, we may collect their email address from you in order to send them a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program. You do not have to supply any information simply to visit the site.
Your friend may contact us at email@example.com to request that we remove this information from our database.
We keep track of the internet addresses from which Users visit us and track the page(s) on our site that you visit. We analyse this data for trends and statistics. Please see "Tracking Technologies".
How We Might Use Your Information
We will use the personal information which we collect for the purposes of registering you as a User of our services, correspondence, or participating in online surveys to help us enhance the delivery of our services and products for you.
If you participate in our online surveys, we will request certain personal information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as post/ zip code).
We use this information to notify contest winners and award prizes, monitor site traffic or personalise the site (in the case of anonymous information collected in surveys), and to improve our service.
We will use your mobile / cell number to notify you when you change your account details, so that you are aware that changes were made to your account in case you did not authorise this. If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, you may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails or you can contact us at email@example.com.
We also ask for personal information at signup to enable us to ask security related questions if you later ask us for a new password.
We may perform statistical analysis of Users' behaviour as a whole. This allows us to measure relative interest in various areas of our site for marketing and advertising purposes. Any information we collect is used to improve the content of our sites; to enhance Users' experiences when visiting our sites; and to customise the content and/or layout of our pages.
We do not share, rent or sell personal information for any reason that is not disclosed in this Policy or apparent to you at the time the information is requested.
miiCard gives you complete control over your identity, personal information and what you share through our services. You should always consider your privacy settings before sharing information on miiCard. You agree that use of our services requires you to disclose some personal information. You may update or correct your miiCard account information at any time by logging in to your account.
The miiCard public profile and sharing of information is disabled by default. Please take note that some of the information you submit upon registering to the service may be visible to all other users on your public profile if activated. The information displayed on the public profile page is configured by you by logging into the application. Please take note that by submitting information and activating the public profile page that you agree that it will appear on your profile and be visible to any and all other users.
Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by The ID Co. and our partners (e.g. marketing partners), affiliates, or analytics or service providers (e.g. online customer support provider). These technologies are used in analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
We use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity also use LSOs such as HTML 5 to collect and store information. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSOs.
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.
We may partner with a third party providers to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this site and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out by clicking here. Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. We may share your personal information in the following ways:

- if The ID Co. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information
- To any other third party with your prior consent to do so.
Feedback and Support
Access to or deleting your account
If you want to terminate your miiCard agreement, email firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your account (username, email address, first name and last name). For security we will confirm to you by email before closing your account. When confirmed your account will be closed and your ability to log in deactivated within 30 days.
To access, delete inaccuracies, and change your personal information, you may do this by logging into your miiCard account to make the necessary changes. We will respond to your access request within 30 days.
How long we keep your data
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at email@example.com. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
If your account is deleted all personal information will be removed from our systems except for any transaction data, history logs, records required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Use of email and text
We will not email or text you in relation to promotional matters without your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us as above or by following unsubscribe instructions within the email.
We post customer testimonials/comments/reviews on our websites which may contain personal information. We obtain our customers' consent via email, prior to posting these testimonials, to display their name along with their testimonial. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, comment or reviews, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you use a bulletin board, blog or chat room on this website, you should be aware that any personal information you submit there can be read, collected or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums.
To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum contact us at email@example.com. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.
Social media (features) and widgets
Facebook Connect or other OpenID provider
You can connect accounts to your miiCard account using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
Links to other websites
Our websites may include links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of The ID Co.
